By adding a donation to your order, you’ll enable this nonprofit organization to purchase diapers to distribute to families in need. Our Cuties Economy Plus Packs provide high-quality diapers at a sustainable price advantage, so anything you can give will go a very long way. Since 1999, Gail's House Incorporated has provided assistance and support to young women to bring a sense of normalcy to those whose lives have been made chaotic due to various circumstances: homelessness, teen pregnancy, domestic abuse, etc. We offer a myriad of programs that allows us to accomplish this goal. Our newest program is Blissful Baby Bottoms, a diaper bank. GHI houses Brevard County's first and currently, only diaper bank. Thanks to programs such as WIC and food stamps, food is seldom an issue. However, there is no State or Federal assistance to subsidize the much needed and absolutely necessary cost of diapers. We have been assisting with diaper need since our inception, albeit on a smaller scale. By supplementing the diaper supply of at-risk families, infants and toddlers no long have to spend a full day in one diaper. This reduces potential health issues such as diaper rash, staph infections, and urinary tract infections. Additionally, low-income parents can take advantage of free or subsidized childcare if they can provide an adequate supply of disposable diapers. Access to daycare increases the opportunity to attend work or school on a consistent basis. This leads to increased economic stability and breaks the cycle of poverty. We are helping to solve a basic human need at a community level. An innovative aspect of our diaper bank program is that, in addition to promoting healthy baby bottoms via diaper need, we encourage the potty training of toddlers to graduate them from their diaper dependency. We are more than just a distribution center, we are a complete program.
