The mysterious Oriental tour of Kyoto, the ancient capital in Japan. 'Onmyoji', the Yin-Yang Master, is a Japanese fortuneteller based on feng-shui (geomancy), and was especially active in Kyoto, which had been the capital for 1,000 years. Every track name and concept is associated with a famous and traditional place in Kyoto. So whenever you listen to each track, you will be taken on the mysterious trip -- starting from 'Rashomon'(#1), the southern tip of Kyoto, then moving in the east-west direction and finally up to 'Kifuneyama'(#12), the north end of the ancient capital. #1 [Rashomon] 'Rashomon' was the gate of old Japanese capital 'Heiankyo', which had been prospered for twenteen hundreds years. The gate located south of the capital and the mistery tour in Kyoto starts here. Rhythmical raps followed by catchy melody support the opening of this album. #2 [Heiankyo] Inspired from the building of Kyoto Station, which represents todays gate of Kyoto. Enjoy the contrast of tight trance rhythm and graceful Japanese feelings. #3 [Kyoto Tower] The Kyoto Tower, build in 1965, is enterance of today's Kyoto. Traditional Japanese instruments decorates this romantic ballad which reminds of Xmas seasons. #4 [Kiyomizudera] A few kilometers east from Kyoto Tower is the 'Kiyomizu-dera' Temple, a World Heritage Site, constructed on a hill with a view of the Kyoto City. Besed on Chinise-inspired musical scale, the sounds of Techno and Rock are performed alternately. #5 [Sanneizaka] North from Kiyomizudera, there is a sloping road named 'San-nei-zaka.' Superstition has it that if one have slipped up on the slope, he or she will pass away within three years.
