Brew an energizing green tea to get ready for your day in this Yixing teapot. The outside of the pot is covered in brown and yellow swirls with a lizard that seams to be camouflaged acting as a lid. This clay is from the Yixing region in China that has a long standing tradition of producing excellent teapots. Due to its absorbent material, if you use one type of tea, the flavor is assimilated by the clay over the years, giving you a more flavorful cup of tea after prolonged use. It is said that after some time you'll be able to steep tea just by pouring hot water as the inside of the pot will provide the flavor. The fired clay contains tiny air pockets which provide insulation and enhanced taste and aroma of fine tea. The different colors are achieved from pigments added into the clay before firing. Due to the handmade nature of this tea pot, the textures and patterns will vary from piece to piece.
