This book is a rather brief account of the terrorist attack on 9/11. It deals exclusively with the attacks at the World Trade Center. Although many times my thoughts were with the victims and families at the Pentagon and in Pennsylvania, it is obvious that my relationship with my brother and some of the members of FDNY, by nature, took precedence. It is my earnest hope that this book will give some perspective to those who are not familiar with fire department operations, protocols and traditions. For those not involved in emergency response situations, you will be able to peer into the lives of these valiant men. Of course, throughout the book, you will get an intimate view of how loyalty, commitment, dedication, friendship and love can strengthen and, yes, conquer even the most deliberate, murderous attacks against humanity.
