Muscle Feast N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC):
What is N-Acetyl Cysteine?
Cysteine is an amino acid that the body is able to transform into antioxidants like glutathione. N-acetyl cysteine, also commonly called acetylcysteine or NAC for short, is a form of cysteine that has been specially modified to improve bio-availability. While cysteine is available in many high-protein foods, such as chicken, turkey, pork, and dairy, N-acetyl cysteine (NAC) is not actually found in any food. Cysteine is one of three components that make up Glutathione. Because the NAC for of cysteine is more bio-available than L-Cysteine, NAC is generally thought to be one of the best ingredients you can take to increase glutathione production naturally.
The recommend dose is 1/8 of a teaspoon (575mg) one to two times per day or as directed by a medical professional. Warning; this supplement is very bad tasting. Even 1/8th of a teaspoon in a juice may not disguise the taste.
