An apparent murder-suicide event plunges the Detroit police into a quagmire of false leads, missing informants and strong indications of interstate drug trafficking. An apparent suicide by a prominent attorney surfaces at the same time a trio of illegal immigrants are arrested while carrying narcotics into the state. The apparent suicide by one of the policemen involved in the thefts brings about an inquiry by a board which ascertains the identification of those involved. A direct connection between the thefts of drugs from the warehouse and the increased availability of this type of narcotics establishes the connection between the two cities.
