Richard Stamz, a colourful Chicago DJ and TV show host, ventured into the record business in the early 60s with the Foxy and Paso labels. His main artist and right hand man was Harold Burrage whose 'Please Love Me' was the original of the Monk Higgins song which became a local R&B hit for Betty Everett three years later. Lee 'Shot' Williams, 'Hello Baby' is simply lowdown dirty R&B at its best.
